In a household with 4 small children and 2 adults, we had plenty of product testing to do! Tushie creams and ouchie sprays were just the start. Whatever I needed to get through: a day at the beach, long car rides, on the go, or in the house whether it was creams, lotions, or potions, I developed it at our dining room table.
My husband and I work together building The Oil for Me. He’s the business guy, and runs the technical side; making sure there is black ink on white screens, and I mix and match, brew and batch. Our goal is to provide the highest quality products at affordable prices for everyone!

I was sick a lot growing up. I got bronchitis, pneumonia, and lots of ear infections. I was on antibiotics a lot as a kid. When I was 12, I got stung by a wasp at summer camp. My reaction to the wasp sting revealed that my childhood of illnesses was probably largely allergy related. The first essential oil I remember using was Tea Tree Oil in college. My ears were itchy throughout my life. One day somebody suggested that I use Tea Tree Oil to stop the itch. I did, and the success was instant! Since then, I have always kept Tea Tree Oil in my medicine cabinet.
I have always been sensitive to artificial smells, perfumes and sprays. I switched to as many pure and natural solutions whenever I could in my life - cleaning products, skin care, etc. I do my best to lower the toxic intake in all areas of my life.
Over the years I used essential oils for things here and there, mostly just for pleasure. When I started having children my collection really started to grow. Several months after our fourth child was born I felt I wanted something else to do besides the never-ending laundry pile. I have had the opportunity to work as an aromatherapist and be a part of the doTERRA team since 2013. I am loving it.
